Irfan Wahab Khan
Board Member
Irfan Wahab Khan is the CEO of Telenor Pakistan and the Chairman of Telenor Microfinance Bank. He has also served as Board Director Grameenphone Bangladesh, PTCL in Pakistan and as Board Chair for Telenor Myanmar. Prior to this, he has also served as Group EVP, Head of Telenor Emerging Asia cluster and also President of Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) 2018/19.
Irfan has a long association with Telenor Pakistan being the first member of the startup team when he joined the company as Executive Vice President in 2004. Khan has over 20 years of diverse management experience with leading telecommunication companies such as Orange, TMobile, Ericsson, Telcordia Technologies across North America, Europe and Asia.
Mr. Khan holds BSc EE from UET Lahore and a Masters degree in Mobile and Personal Communications from University of Westminster London UK. He also holds qualifications in Financial Management from Harvard Business School, executive diploma in Marketing from London Business School and Advance Management Program from INSEAD. He is also a lifetime Alumni of IESE and INSEAD.
