Industries require qualified, trained and disciplined work force therefore the responsibility of an Industrial Linkages Office (ILO) is of great importance. For the same purpose, over the last few years THF has taken an active part in placement of students and has thrived in several successful placements at various leading organizations.
An Industrial Linkages Office (ILO) is established at THF to prepare industry related skill sets and curriculum, to initiate internship programs and to extract the real need of each organization at the right time before the graduation of any particular batch of students. The ILOs will also develop close relationship with Employer Federations, Trade Associations and Chamber of Commerce in major industrial cities for better placement opportunities for THF graduates.
The Industrial Linkages Office at Corporate Office, Karachi oversees the working of every institution’s placement office, their frequency of industrial visits, job fairs, career opportunities and following up queries of students to better facilitate them.
GOALS OF THF ILO
ILO plays a vital role to bring institutes more close to the industry by identifying demands and developing respective changes in training needs and fulfilling gaps. It helps in assessing the need of industry by recommending new trades as per requirement and matching with essential skill sets. ILO plays an important part as a coordinator to guide these institutes for industrial visits and exposure of the students in various industries and expos.
This is critical in developing relationships by networking with industry partners at senior levels (CEO and Board) as well as engaging with them at administrative, supervisory and managerial levels. This proves to be effective in exploring new opportunities/vacancies in local and international job market with the support of recruiting agencies.
